Taking on more than one project at once?

So I was in the middle of plotting/organizing Paper Hearts, and I got an idea for another potential project. Well, I actually got the idea a few weeks ago and was going to work on it, because I had no ideas for Paper Hearts until I talked to Robin.

Is it possible to work on two things at once? Or do you think it would get confusing? I'm not having a problem keeping the two separate; I just want to know what you guys think about it.
